Aaron J.
Wegmann
The work of Aaron J. Wegmann comprises of a wide range, from individual house design to urban design landscape planning in localities of various countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, India and Switzerland.
In his work, be it an individual house to urban design or high class housing always constitutes as a concrete task, to be undertaken with individual care. In the process of many projects, young professionals were tutored in the capacity of building and to enhance young architects.
Architecture is seen as a specific task:
When a house is more than providing shelter one can talk of architecture.
Architecture happens always in a specific place, for and with specific people in their cultural, social and economic context. The challenge lays in bringing it all together.
The journey from an idea to the realised lays in a process, which cannot be shortcut but bears the potential with surprising results.
Above all, all remains a dream until it has the chance to become reality.
